THRIVE
Why It Works
Through teaching yoga in secondary schools, I saw the positive impacts of the practice and I also saw the opportunity for a greater, deeper connection.
In a yoga practice, the class is crafted to provide time for students to connect with their breath and their body. Yet within a structured class setting, there isn't always enough time to explore the deeper impacts of a mindful life.
THRIVE was born to fill the space between.
THRIVE acknowledges the complexities of teenage life and helps provide a range of skills and resources to help ease struggles and face their day with courageous kindness.
Through solo work, games, group work and reflection we focus on building resilience, hold open and honest discussions around mental health and create important self-care practices.
How It Works
THRIVE, like the best parts of yoga, is flow in nature. Some schools require yoga classes only, others require workshops, others want a combination of both.
Most yoga classes are 45-55 minus in length and for a period of 6-7 weeks, depending on timetable and term. Most workshops are 90minutes in duration and are usually held 1-2 times through the school term.
Workshops are ran in the Greater Limerick area including parts of North Cork, Clare, Tipperary and Kerry.
